air-texturising (Taslan)

:in this process normally two or more yarns running at different speeds are combined in a specially designed air-jet to form a single thread held together by the entangled filaments and characterised by individual filament loops that give the yarn a rough, cotton-like touch. This is much like a very fine version of rasta dreadlocks.

ContiFibre uses the latest SSM-Staehle air-jet texturising technology that allows the high speed production of quality yarns with the latest in continuous computer monitored quality control.

As this process involves the combination of yarns it is also possible to combine different colours, lustres or dye affinity yarns to produce interesting melange effects.
